We understand that starting a new project or a hobby can be a bit concerning. We’re here to help. Below are some key questions that most of our users asked.
Plants grow through a process called photosynthesis, in which they use sunlight and a chemical inside their leaves called chlorophyll to convert carbon dioxide (a gas in the air) and water into glucose (a type of sugar) and oxygen. Write that out chemically and you get this equation:
6CO2 + 6H2O → C6H12O6 + 6O2
There's no mention of "soil" anywhere in there—and that's all the proof you need that plants can grow without it. What they do need is water and nutrients, both easily obtained from soil. But if they can get these things somewhere else—say, by standing with their roots in a nutrient-rich solution—they can do without soil altogether.
That's the basic principle behind hydroponics. In theory, the word "hydroponics" means growing plants in water (from two Greek words meaning "water" and "toil"), but because you can grow plants without actually standing them in water, most people define the word to mean growing plants without using soil.
A few of the benefits of hydroponics include:
It is possible for a single person to put it together, but it is advisable to have a helping hand. The parts included are small and can be put together without any heavy lifting and unless the entire tower is populated with plants and the reservoir tank is filled, this is a rather light unit.
The main difference lies in the patented design of the tower modules. The modules are designed to help maximize efficiency by using less water, and effectively capturing natural daylight without having nearby pots hinder the growth of any plants. Each module is designed to direct the flow of water to the roots without having to constantly run the water flow thus saving energy and nutritional resources.

When it comes to Hydroponics, the choices are endless in terms of what is possible to grow as long as it can grow above the ground and can sustain the weight of the fruit. People have grown melons on this tower, but with added structural support to keep the fruit from falling off prematurely.
You can grow a variety of fruits together simultaneously provided they all require the same nutritional values and similar daylight amount. Some plants need specific pH values which may not be suitable to other pants, and may end up causing harm. It is always better to understand and research which plants can be clubbed together prior to starting the process.
It depends on the plant and the species. There are some plants that may take a few days for the seeds to germinate before they are transplanted to the net pots, and then may take anywhere between several weeks to a couple of months. The process is faster than traditional farming & growing techniques, but will require attention and making sure the plants are nourished as per their requirements for optimal effectiveness.
It does require commitment and dedication. You cannot expect to see results without monitoring and making sure that the right amount of nutrition is fed through the pumps. although most of the process is automated, a novice would need to go through a couple of planting cycles before getting the hang of it and then it does get much easier. Once you know the amount of nutrition that is required, the amount of daylight, the time it takes from germination to seeing full grown plants, it does get much easier.
Yes, you can. The product is tested in all weather conditions, but note that the plants would need to be cultivated in a controlled environment. Ideal weather condition help the plants to grow better outdoors because of the abundant natural sunlight. As long as the temperatures are maintained between what is required by the plant, the Nutraponics Tower Garden can be used outdoors.
